Located in the picturesque seaside village of Southbroom overlooking the Umkobi Estuary, on the beach. Established in 1992 by Nicci and Massimo Negra, this well known restaurant with it's magical beach and river setting is truly a gem on the lush South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.

Charmingly unpretentious, but offering upmarket, innovative and consistency in food and service, this special restaurant is a favorite among those who appreciate excellent food and appealing aesthetics.

Food & Wine

Interestingly varied, our food is contemporary mediterranean Italian. Offering fresh salads, innovative pastas, fresh fish (when available), fresh west coast mussels, seared baby squid, tender grain-fed grilled beef, we also offer chicken and pork dishes. Lastly a selection of delectable desserts, local handmade cheeses and imported coffees.

Our wine list comprises a selection of top South African wines and Methode Cap Classique's, and a small selection of French Champagnes and Italian sparkling wine.

Venue

The Interior is decorated in a Colonial style with loads of character this intimate space seats 50 people comfortably.

The covered all weather loggia with screeded floors and ceiling fans seats 90 people and has hosted many memorable functions including weddings, birthdays and corporate events. The lower deck with its fabulous views out to sea perched above the Umkobi Estuary seats 40 people and is the ideal place for long lazy liquid lunches!

Exit at Southbroom South, turn first right into Outlook Road, and follow for 2.7Kms to the beach.
